Siri is an 8th Grader middle school student based in Dover, NH, USA. During her recent visit to India in 2018, she has witnessed the rural villages, poverty conditions of families, malnutrition and poor quality of education. Since then she has decided to do something for the rural children. Siri is closely mentoring a group of children to develop reading habits, engages them with storytelling sessions and group discussions. She introduced the Reading Buddy Program – collectively reading a book and exchanging the perspectives with a small group. She also mentors underprivileged children with enrichment sessions during weekends. Read2Lead Program is one of her favourite initiatives at Krishi, so she raised funds to set up school libraries in India.
